Resident Director – Purchase

Resident Director (3 Vacancies) 

 

These vacancies are for two upper-class, suite style residence halls housing 205 students each and an off-campus location housing 40 students.  The RD’s hired for these positions will be responsible for the direct supervision and training of one to five RAs, in addition to managing judicial and developmental issues of residents.  The two on-campus positions are responsible for participating in duty rotation. All positions are responsible for reporting the maintenance needs of buildings, as well as maintaining an accurate inventory of keys and supplies.  Involvement in departmental and campus committees is also an expectation. These are 12-month, full-time, live-in positions with a tentative start date of June 2, 2008. Required qualifications include: a Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of two years experience as a Resident Advisor. Preferred experience includes one year experience as a Resident Director, experience managing disciplinary issues, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
